News Flash!!

We are proud to have further funded the wonderful efforts of the Black Cockatoo Rehabilitation Centre by purchasing a new avairy to the value of $36,000. We'd also like to congratulate them on becoming the 2000th member of Land for Wildlife WA

Biodiversity Protection NZ Inc

Yes that's right - Biodiversity Protection is now also in NZ.  We've been raising money there for the last few months and are proud to have supported the Wellington Bird Rescue Trust and Bushy Park Trust's Kiwi Project.  We also donated $2000 to the Wildlife Bushfire Appeal

Wallaby Release & Dingo Centre

I recently visited Victoria and attended a wallaby release (saved from the bushfires) conducted by Wildlife Victoria - I got to see a glimpse of all the effort that went to saving animals from the devastating bushfires. Good on you all!!
I also visited Lynn at the Dingo Discovery Centre.  I was very impressed with the facility there and am hopeful that BPWA Inc can be involved in something similar in WA in the near future

Welcome to Biodiversity Protection WA Inc

Biodiversity Protection WA Inc has been around for five years now raising funds for the protection of the West Australian environment.  Our goal is to assist in practical community-based projects, in conjunction with groups that are chiefly volunteer-based.

We do not use our funds for lobbying or protesting. We also do not receive any State, Federal or corporate assistance but rely entirely on the generous donations of likeminded West Australians. In the past three years we have committed well over $500,000 to environmental projects throughout Western Australia.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members of public who give to us so generously in support of these projects, all the volunteers who give so much of their time to protecting the environment and Dr. Paddy Weaver who has given us so much sage advice and direction in the last few years.
